WTF, Sony?
helava says,
...
I don't even know where to start. The biggest problem the PSP had was the exposed screen. This does nothing to fix that. At the same time, it makes the ergonomics of the PSP *even worse*. How do they take something that was close to being awesome and make it *worse*???
Look at that guy's thumbs? Look at how far down they're bent? Hold your hands in a way that you feel comfortable, and look at where your thumbs are in relation to your fingertips? See how they're relatively close? Now mimic the pose the guy holding the new PSP is using, and tell me your hands aren't going to be ruined after a few hours on that thing.
It's worse than the original PSP because you now have to hold the device even higher, since its center of gravity has moved up. And the slider functionality? It does NOTHING to protect the most important thing - the screen. You know what's awesome about the DS? I can snap it shut, toss it in a bag, and not care if my keys scratch the living crap out of it.
My PSP, on the other hand, has to sit in a case that makes it 20+% bigger than it ALREADY IS. And this thing, because it's a slider, isn't even going to be able to HAVE a case like the old one. ARGH! ARGH ARGH ARGH.
On the plus side, the "go" font seems to lend some credence to the rumors of a skinny PS3, as the "go' font looks a lot more like the "new PS3" logo on the rumored skinny thing.
And holy crap, the new PSP is fugly, to boot. I wanted to love a new PSP. I'm in the middle of God of War: Chains of Olympus - and it's awesome. Maybe this will feel better than it looks like it will. Maybe it'll look better in person than it looks in photos. But wow.
I mean, wow.

"Live images have leaked of Sony 's PSP Go, set to launch at next week's E3. Looks like those rumors were true: It's a UMD-less slider with 16GB of memory, and it'll ship this fall. No price yet, but that should come with the official announcement next week. Update with video:
All this leakage stems from the June issue of Qore , which is a...

You never saw the N-Gage, then...
Or the Wonderswan. Or Game Gear. Or Gizmondo.

Then don't buy it. Calm down son.
And on a side note... Who plays a handheld game for hours at a time? Why in the world would you look at a 13in screen instead of a 60 inch plus HDTV go buy the real system. Handhelds are for kids under 10. Not adults.
And the way the guy in the picture is holding it is how he wants to, you can hold it however you want noone said you have to do it the same as he is.

I sit and play my psp for hours, Crisis Core? God of War? like Helena said. Can't be worse then DSi no old school games and the 0.3 megapixel camera doesn't do no justice in my book. Bring back the old games or get a better camera that can zoom lol

The guy is holding it how the system is designed to be held. You have to hold it so that you can hit the shoulder buttons and also the analog stick, for most games.

kinda like the first Xbox controller. lol.
PSP, PSP GO, the way its being handled still puts cramps in my hands.
they also should have stuck with the Idea of dual analog insted of one.
and btw helava, I had a game gear many years ago... and minus the batteries it ate up, I still would play it over the game boy of that time. :D

I would like to say
WTF IS THIS.
If you're going to make it a slider, at least make it from those pictures that we saw a while back. Oval =/= good slider design.
But if youre going to make it godawful ugly, at least make it have a little grip, make it like a ps/2/3 controller with a screen. WHY SONY WHY.
