Wii demand finally easing, but no price cuts on tap

I do not think they need to cut their prices. They are the first and I am sure they are working progressing the existing system.

Even with the demand "easing," Nintendo is still making money hand-over-fist with this system. Unlike Microsoft and Sony, Nintendo doesn't take a loss for every system sold. So, why would they drop the price when there is still enough demand to keep it at the launch price?
