Unconfirmed: Obama Ads In Burnout Paradise? Or Is It Photoshop?

How do you feel about political ads in games? I support Obama, but if I put myself in the shoes of having a McCain ad in all the games I play, I'd be annoyed all the time, and I assume the same is true with McCain supporters who game.
My guess is that this is faked though.

"We've only gotten one report of this, which seems a bit odd, but an Xbox Live gamer who goes by Dragunov765 has posted photos of what appear to be in-game ads for Barack Obama .
Dragunov (we know his real name, too) says he came across the ads while playing Burnout Paradise earlier this week and posted them on his Rooster Teeth journal...

Might be faked, might not be. Burnout has dynamic in-game ads, and so it's up to the ad placement company (Massive, I think, in this case) to make the determination.
It's a tricky situation, though - if 1.) I was a game developer, and someone who I REALLY didn't support (like McCain) had their ads placed in my game, I'd be furious. 2.) If I was a player, and the same happened, I'd probably turn off the game and never play it again. I'd consider, even, returning it to the store.
For those reasons, I'd guess that it's faked.

Politics in Videos games? I hate "bleep" politics and that is the last thing I as a PCer want in my game.. I don't give a flying "bleep" who is it.. I "bleep" don't want that "bleep" in my video games, and that goes for all those Mother "Bleep" advertisers that plague all my Social Networks with "bleep" Ads... I am censoring my language...

There a few hints that it's faked. Starting mostly with the way it's shaded. It doesn't match up with the game's lighting. Whoever faked it did a pretty good job though.

Yeah brother, I aggree with u on that one, the shading really was not that good.. Now take Rainbow six Las Vegas for PC. That has excellent lighting in it, and great shading..

You have a good eye for detail. I think that's the kind of thing I generally don't notice, but I end up with just a general sense of, "Hmm, this doesn't look quite right," without being able to pinpoint what exactly makes it look weird.

Yeah, I have noticed it in GTA games, they seem to have the same amount of shading in most of the game, and why do all the characters look alike? They didn't do that sh*T in Rainbow Six Las Vegas or any of my Tombraider games. Y GTA? That is the dumbst thing I have ever seen..

Yeah tell me about it, y do they do that, fake this, fake that. Sh*t, I thought having fake "BREASTS" was bad enough, now they fake back drops in games? We have got to draw the line somewhere people and YOBAMA, who is your MAMA!
