Whoa. That's far beyond reasonable coincidence. It's a lawsuit that I think has merit, for a change. I mean, there are tiny differences like the number of headlights, but it's so similar that if I looked at them one at a time, I'd think they were the same game. It's only when they are next to each other that I can see the minimal differences.

Wow. That's pretty crazy. Still, honestly, given the lead time for these sorts of things, I'd bet it's just an unfortunate coincidence. Red car goes in the foreground because in people's perception, red "pops" out while blue recedes, giving the cover a certain illusory depth. If you've got a Baja game, you need vehicles on the cover, and because people read left to right, the cars moving in that direction read "moving forward" instead of "moving backward."

It's INCREDIBLY similar, but I can actually see why such a thing would happen without any actual foreknowledge.

I agree, they hardly look alike at all. The one on the right has a lot more coloring on the car, different wheels, and doesn't have the checkered flag on the title. Yes, I agree the style of the picture is the same, the colors are the same, obviously, but the cars do not look alike.
