cuase sony wants money

Word is Apple is going to get into the console business. Sony will need to step its game ups. Soon.

Why does sony need to step their game up? Apple has nothing for them when it comes to gaming. They have the most powerful game console on the market hands down and its been that way for a while now.

I agree their prices for products are ridiculous when they first come out but they stand the test of time great. I still have my ps1,2 and they work till this day.

IMO Sony messed up when they didn't keep metal gear,Grand theft auto*, Final fantasy,and a few other games exclusive to them. They messed up and let system selling titles go multi-platform cause they we're to damn arrogant and cheap to ink a deal with the publishers.

Ps3 would at the least be in a close second behind the wii if they woulda kept certain games "Exclusive" and had the ps3 at 399 on launch IMO

I'm not arguing that it wasn't the most powerful gaming console. The price didn't even really bother me. If I wanted a cheap gaming system I'd buy an X-box.
From my understanding of the gaming industry, as limited as it may be, Sony was so focused on making the best blue ray player for the buck that they completely forgot about the games. Not only that but its even more expensive for a game to develop a project for Sony now because sony passes off all online responsibility to the publisher.
Where as Xbox has it's small fee for a very sharp, very ground breaking online experience SONY is very much behind the learning curve. PSN runs like garbage.
I don't care if PS3 costs a thousand dollars, I'll pay it if they have some good games.
And for a long time they were putting out PS3's that were not reverse compatible with PSone and PS2 games, and lets face it. Those are their best games!
Wtf does Sony have that you can't find on Microsoft? Not much. Now what does sony have that you can't find on Microsoft with better online play? Not a damn thing.

I would have to agree with that1guy with this Sony needs to file suit with the gaming community advancement to the blue ray is definitely a must at some point. But, what about the gaming community that forks out the bills. Most gamers are willing to fork out the extra cash to be the first with hands on to a new experience. One of the reasons we with with the x-box was the fact they offered the reverse compatibility to previous generations how can you not work with the people who got you to the point of advancement in the first place?

Thats the point in exclusives. Sony had things that original xbox didn't and that's why they fell off so hard. They let too many of their good games go multi platform and that killed them. Why should I pay 499 to play GTA when I can get the same game on the box for 299. Exclusive games are where its at.

I agree with you about PSN but its free. Can't complain when somethings free. Psn isn't the greatest but its getting better and I can do the basics with online gaming which is play with my peoples.

One thing Sony has beat MS at is the original titles being released on the psn. They have some sweet 10-15 dollar games in the store.

I can complain that PSN is free and runs like trash because they have a competitor that I can go to and pay for their service that runs like a dream.
Again I stand by my original statement. Sony needs to get its act together.

Your right they do have a competitor that you can go to and "PAY" for their service. I have a internet bill already so I don't feel the need to pay MS money for online play. Long as PSN is free I'll be signing in. Soon as they make you pay for it I'll way my options with both services and pick the best one.

I'd rather "PAY" the reasonable fee for Microsofts service that is so responsive and fluid it feels like I am sitting next to the people I am gaming with than deal with PSN's service that (in Street Fighter 4's case)is literally incapable of even connecting to one other person's Playstation over 85% of the time.
Sort of like that old bumper sticker that says "I'd rather push a ford than drive a chevy," except "I'd rather play Xbox live than NOT be able to play PSN 15% of the time with a horrible connection"
To add insult to injury, the 360 almost has more exclusives than Playstation has games. Just look at your local games store, look at the number of games Sony has then look at the 360 section. It's not even comparable.

I have SF4 and it plays fine. I connect to people easy. Live is better than psn no doubt but its not as bad as you make it out to be.

Your mileage may vary, in my experience PSN is garbage.

Is your ps3 on a static ip? I use to experience disconnects more than I should. I put it on a static ip and it fixed the problem.

What ever it's on my Xbox doesn't have a problem with it. My playstation probably has a problem operating in the box I put it in when I returned it to the store.

lol. I have a box but I don't play it online. Only thing good about the box to me is I can get games for 10 dollars thanx to piracy. Thank you MS for making a system so easy to hack...
