Rock Band 2: Every Song Rated
helava says,
I can't really put this any other way: WANT. Even songs I didn't recognize by name are awesome.

They are really turning up the marketing machine to a fever pitch, aren't they? I am totally excited. I can only hope that I am not so excited that the game is disappointing.
One of the big features that I am not sure I've read as being confirmed to be in the new game is that ability to see the difficulty breakdown of each instrument for each game within the game, and not just in the music download store.

I was surprised that we didn't see any of the bands with multiple songs on RB1 with some new stuff on here. Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, etc.

I am guessing we'll see more of DLC from them. *hopes* Actually, one of the most fun things for me is hearing music that I had either 1) heard before but was not interested in or 2) never heard before, and really getting into them.
I need to do a second sweep of the list to check on the female bands. I find that I can sing 90s male alternative vocals and female rock bands better than most of the other stuff. Men with big ranges = disaster for me.

There's a TON of NIN compared with other bands on RB+DLC, so I'm not surprised we're not seeing too much more of them. The problem with Radiohead is that their more recent stuff isn't really "band-friendly" - the songs are REALLY heavy on the effects, which makes the correspondence with the note tracks a little weak, I'd guess. Still, I'd love to have some more of their Bends-era stuff.

That's a good point, the only Radiohead on there at the moment is stuff from the very beginning of their career when they were more of a brit-rock band than the weird fusion of electronic and rock that they became. Still, there are plenty of songs off OK Computer that would work well as Rockband songs, and maybe one or two songs off Hail to the Thief and In Rainbows.
As for NIN, I know they've been perhaps the most-represented DLC band but there is still a lot more material of theirs out there to cover that is Rock Band friendly. I guess the question is how much NIN is too much for one band, at one point do you start thinking "eh, not another one of those."
