Having used a lot of "simple" music making tools in the last decade and some, and most of them are really tedious and difficult to use - they certainly don't tend to encourage creativity. That is, if you're a musician, you can use these thing to make music. If you're not, you can't.

I'm hoping RB2 takes a Spore-like approach. That is, the character creation tool in Spore is almost a game in itself. It exposes you to character creation *as a game*, and is as rewarding as many full-blown games out there. There's a lot of feedback, you are encouraged to try new, different things, and there's almost no way to fail or make something that's genuinely awful (unless that's what you're going for).

Anyway - I'm hoping GHWT makes good use of the music creation stuff, and it is something that differentiates it from RB2, so I suppose that's good.

Can you tell I'm biased, here? :D
