I argue that this game will suck. Why? Because Sonic hasn't truly been "sonic" in years. Here's what I want out of a Sonic game: speed and good level design. Unfortunately, Sega thinks that's not enough. So, they add all this other crap that actually detracts/distracts from the core gameplay.

If they brought Sonic back to his roots and gave me a blasing-fast hedgehog with awesome level design AND ONLY CONCENTRATED ON MAKING THAT GREAT (including make the controls intuitive), all using today's modern technology, then I'd buy the ^#$@ out of that game.

IMO, the best Sonic game in the last 10 years was...

Half Life 2.

The opening level in HL2 had the best "core Sonic Mechanics" gameplay I've seen since before Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast.

i agree, the original sonics were the best and still are the best when it comes to sonic game, the last one i played had me confused and lost as to what you were really supposed to be doing. i saw no point in it. at least with the originals you knew what your goal was. Robotnik.

Sonic lost originality, I loved playing Sonic 2

The demo for Sonic, unleashed was pretty good, game fly should be sending in in soon.

I mean to give Sonic a sword is like saying "We need something more than just the spin dash." I wonder if he'll even go Super in this but with him having a sword now, it's probably best if he DON'T.
