GameStop Board Announces Senior Management Reorganization

Dun dun dun! GameStop & EBGames are always both painful to shop at. I don't know what's happening at the senior management levels but I'd like to see better training on the ground floor. I can't count the number of times I've heard employees give out misinformation to customers, especially parents who are asking for recommendations for their kids.
I know a business is a business is a business, and it's all about managing employees and stock and order shipments, but this surprised me: "J. Paul Raines, 44, the former Executive VicePresident of U.S. Stores for Home Depot, will become the company's newCOO, effective Sept. 7, 2008."
Home Depot! Who would have thought it? And do none of these suits have first names, just initials?

Yeah, if I was thinking of "places I like to shop at" EB/Gamestop and Home Depot are both pretty damn close to the bottom of the list.

I couldn't agree with you more. Home Depot is a painful place to shop.

It's been amazing to me how much better Lowes is than Home Depot. I hear they have better treatment of employees too.

I have damn near gotten into fist fights with EB and gamestop employees. Just cause you're hired and given a key to a display case does not make you a video game expert.
