g1 Vs. iPhone (Not Nearly Game Related, But Close)
Vudoo0013 says,
OK, I have personally had my own battle vs. a friend with his iPhone and my G1. From what I've seen, the G1 is so far the best.
Dont know about the location of the 3G network between AT&T or T-Mobil. But, the Net connection had been faster on my end.
Typing. Funny, My friend has had the iPhone longer then I have, and I have typed faster with the fold out key board then hearing him cuss out his for not hitting the right keys.
Screen, the iPhone has a slightly larger screen, but not much, it has no background wallpaper, and is cluttered with touch buttons. The G1, has a 3 part screen wish you access by sliding your finger from left to right, and can be customized by holding your finger on the Icon, wait for the little buzz, and move it anywhere, or remove it. All other applications can be held in the tab next to the Menu button.
Games.... Nothing to different between them. Android and Apple are coming up with free apps that are great with the accelerometer. For the Mario Geeks, you can download the app to do the jumping noises, or hold your finger to the screen to sound like your collecting coins. Same type of app can be found for 'Psycho' or Lightsabre noises.
The Touch screen games are also fun. Ranging from puzzles, card games, quiz's, action, racing and more. Most of the good graphic games cost money, but the free ones are just as fun.
I am so far glad of my choice.... mainly cause I started with T-Mobil last year with a crappy razr3. And I have done a few threads from it off this site and others with the G1.
But dont get me wrong, the iPhone looks good, but I cant have my zombie version of the 'Last Supper' scrolling across my screen with a slide of my finger... I'm twisted like that.

"The HTC T-Mobile G1 clearly has Apple's IPhone in mind as its top competitor, so we've compiled a side-by-side comparison of their specifications. Behold (below the jump):
Here are some major differences you'll notice: IPhone 3G has a multi-touch screen while the G1 just has a touch screen (meaning it can't track multiple simultaneous...

I was not a believer of the G1 until I saw my coworker's and actually played with it. The weirdest thing is that what put me off initially is that in the photos, it looks really wacked out, but in real life, it is quite attractive and feels good in the hand, with good feedback from the buttons.
I really like seeing this head-to-head battle between the iPhone and the G1 and the upcoming Palm Pre. I think it'll encourage stiff competition in terms of app innovation and drive down prices. I love it!

actually, come to find out, About 80% of the apps on the G1 are free... and mostly all Apps on the iPhone cost money.
Just one thing to look at between the 2.
What carrier is going to have the Palm Pre?

He's this guy that seems to hate me from newsrag. I have no idea why. I think it's because I disagreed with him on some things, but it's weird because he came out guns blazing and I stayed polite, yet he's the one that's mad. Oh well.

I am a cheapskate though, so most of my iPhone apps are the freebies. :D I did shell out for like... 5 of them, maybe, at around $0.99 to $1.99 each.
Hmm, that's a good question about Palm Pre & carriers. My guess is that since AT&T has the iPhone, T-Mobile has the G1, then it's going to be either Verizon or maybe Sprint?
I'm really salivating over the Pre.
