This is what happens when you live in a Dry dirtball of a town... and by the looks of it... they have Cats.
Cat hair has a 8/10 chance on getting in your computer, along with dust and Pollen.
Whats really good is to get a Breather filter placed over your Fan ports and hope your computer is closed tight. That should keep the Dust down. What works is a single layer Coffee Filter over the vents.

Or you could always invest in a dirt devil, haha. I vacuum off the grilles of mine whenever I run it. FYI -- all that was NOT cause "by smoking", either, though of course they would say that. I have seen first had what the inside of a computer which has been in a house with smokers AND cats for 4+ years and it wasn't anything near as bad as that.
