I'm not talking about the virtual worlds found in World of Warcraft or Second Life. I'm talking about Earth, our motherland, la tierra. And I'm wondering if those people who spend 16 billion hours a year tapping keyboards or jiggling joysticks can save the world.
It's not my idea....

They say that these skills really come in useful for those in the Service who fly the Pilot-less planes like the Predator being used overseas. Maybe there's something to it. I know I don't have the skills. lmao

Yup that's eutopia people dream of. To much greed in the world for that though :(
There is a man who believes in what your saying. He calls it the "venus project" interesting theory about how we "should" be using out technology.

Oh I'm not saying that technology is all a good thing. We are losing our ability to write, to add and subtract, divide and multiply and many other things we use to do by using our brains. We don't have to anymore. We have something to do it for us. Technology is good. But we must still train and use our brains. But human nature is to take the easy way. We don't have to do the basics because we have something to do it for us. So we lose skills. Not a good thing. BUT, I sure do love my modern tech stuff and gadgets. lol
