This is communisim at its best. They believe that if you cant see whats really out there, you won't want to leave or rebel against the government.

True. I guess you can label it communism, but it can happen in any country with a central government. We have some censorship of the media, but it could expand at any point. As soon as you ban something like, say, snuff films or something, some group is always going to say "well, we should ban violence in movies, its essentially the same thing" and go on from there. Of course, the reverse can be true as well. If they unban certain things, it could slowly crawl to uncensored media from there.
