In line with helava's post about Bionic Commando Rearmed and the increasing quality & quantity of downloadable games for consoles, Burnout: Paradise is coming to PSN.

Of note in the article is this sentence: "If full downloadable games gives them a new option to fight against the way used-game sales can cut into their profits, you can bet we'll see a lot more offers like this in the future."

It makes perfect sense, and is better for the player, at least from my perspective.

Good job, EA. I hope EB Games dies a horrible, horrible death. Criterion's done a stellar job with the constant updates to the game. They've managed to keep Paradise relevant for months and months after its release.

re: drive sizes/cost, that's one thing I've gotta give credit to Sony for - you can just plug in any SATA drive - 360gb for ~$100, vs. the 360's 120gb for $180.

Oh! Not having a PS3, I didn't realize that you could use any SATA drive. Nowadays, you can pick up even a 500gb for close to $100, depending on the sale. :D

Is there any performance hit to using an eSATA drive? I am thinking of things like loading times.
