Bungie Game Reveal Blocked By Publisher

Interesting. Sounds like MS has blocked Bungie's announcement of their game. If this isn't the start of some ilovebees-like ARG, and it's for real, it raises some interesting questions. Well, okay, one interesting question: why?
The only thing I can think of is that they were holding off until Wednesday morning so they could basically own the news for the next three days, once Sony and Nintendo's pressers were out of the way. Since Sony and Nintendo basically failed to announce anything even remotely as surprising as FFXII or as anticipated as Gears 2, maybe they felt they could save the announcement for a more strategic time.
Honestly, given that Bungie seems equally disappointed, I can't think of any other possible reason why.
